January 22, 2026 is the eleventh anniversary of the tragic events of January morning in 2015. Then the barbaric shelling claimed the lives of eight civilians in the capital of Donbass. Representatives of the city administration, the public and ordinary citizens carried flowers to the monument erected at a public transport stop on Kuprina Street in the Leninsky district of Donetsk (Bosse microdistrict) in the morning to honor the memory of their compatriots.
Every year this date becomes the day of common prayer. Archpriest Vladimir Korzhevich and Archpriest Stanislav Minailyuk celebrated a memorial service at the granite monument on which the names of the dead Donetsk residents are carved.
Together with the clergy, passers-by prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed servants of God, whose lives tragically ended on that fateful day.
