As part of the events dedicated to the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, a multimedia project "Heavenly Families. The air." The project is being implemented by the autonomous non-profit organization Center for the Development of Social Projects with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.
On a large vertical screen, the audience was presented with a film story about the families and relatives of the saints, based on the iconographic heritage of the XV-XVIII centuries. More than 140 animated fragments of icons and frescoes from the largest museum collections in Russia told the stories of Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham and Sarah, the righteous Joachim and Anna, the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga, Russian princely families and the royal dynasty.
The screening was accompanied by live performances by the Academic Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments named after N.N. Nekrasov and the Chamber Choir of the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory, as well as performances of works on the Armenian duduk.
The multimedia project "Heavenly Families" was created by the autonomous non-profit organization "Center for the Development of Social Projects" with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives. An interdisciplinary team of animation artists, art historians, and clergy worked on the project.
The premiere took place in January 2025 at the Andrei Rublev Museum. During the year, the project was presented in Moscow, the cities of the Tula region, Krasnoyarsk, Orenburg, Arkhangelsk, Yaroslavl, Smolensk and Kirillov. The total audience exceeded 10,000 viewers.
