On August 23, a rural bike ride took place in Navlinsky deanery. According to tradition, the start of the route was given in the village of Navlya. Then the participants went to the Vladimir Church in the village of Alyoshinka, where the rector, Priest Sergiy Tsybin, performed a prayer service for the beginning of a good deed, sprinkled all the travelers with holy water and led a bike ride.
The second part of the route passed through the picturesque fields and meadows of Navlinsky district. The journey was not without difficulties: I had to make stops and help with bicycle repairs. But no one backed down — everyone was confidently moving towards the main goal of the trip: the baptismal font in the village of Partizanskoe (Holy).
At the holy spring, everyone could plunge into the baptismal font and collect water. After that, the participants set off on their way back.
The stop in the village of Alekseevka was especially warm. The hospitable Slobodchikov family welcomed a large team of travelers with hot draniki and fragrant tea from the samovar. Despite the fatigue, everyone was happy — it's hard to put this feeling into words.
40 people of various ages took part in the trip: the youngest participant was less than two years old, and the oldest was 76. Together, the cyclists enjoyed the beauty of the passing summer: corn and wheat fields, birch groves, the setting sun and, of course, the sincere smiles of children and adults.
This day gave everyone a sense of unity, the joy of communication and gratitude to God for the opportunity to be together, see the beauty of their native land and do good deeds.
All participants thank Father Sergius for his unifying initiative, prayer and the opportunity to experience this blessed day!
