Before the start of the event, the head of the Metropolitan Area addressed the audience with a word of greeting. "Most recently, on February 1, we prayerfully celebrated the 16th anniversary of the enthronement of the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. The Primate is the author of numerous outstanding publications, reports and speeches. He has written a number of books in which His Holiness expounds his theological views, understanding of the near and distant future, and shares his vision of global social and historical processes. Reviving the ancient tradition of the preaching word, Patriarch Kirill gives it a new, social sound. He opens up to the listener and reader the language of "universal preaching," which is understandable to both church and secular people. His Holiness speaks boldly in his writings on the most controversial and pressing issues, be it international conflicts, a pandemic, digital technologies or artificial intelligence," said, in particular, His Eminence Metropolitan.
Archpriest Kirill Shklyar spoke about the books of the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church. The sacristan of the Peter and Paul Cathedral shared information with the audience about the concept of the exhibition and conducted a guided tour.
During the event, new editions of the collected works of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow were presented, published in the series "A Word to near and Far", thematic collections "On Meanings", "Only life: dialogue with youth", "So that fasting is for salvation. To help the Penitents", "Living Memory: Saints and Us", "Lifelong Happiness: about Family and family values". The books of the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church are addressed to a wide range of readers interested in the ministry of the First Hierarch, as well as those who turn to the word of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia in their work.
Visitors to the book exhibition were able to get acquainted with the stands, which contain photo and video information about the main milestones in the life and works of His Holiness, as well as Primatial visits to Kazakhstan.
The books of the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church will be transferred to the library of the Alma Ata Theological Seminary and Sunday schools in the Southern capital of Kazakhstan.
At the end of the presentation, the audience celebrated the many years of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
