On September 13, 2026, the 15th Week after Pentecost and the day of the celebration of the transfer of the relics of the Blessed Prince Peter and Princess Fevronia of Murom, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia performed the rite of the great consecration of the church in honor of the Seventh-Day Icon of the Mother of God in the city of Mytishchi, Moscow region.
The newly consecrated church, which has the status of a patriarchal compound, is located on the territory of the F.F. Federal Scientific Center for Hygiene. Erisman of Rospotrebnadzor. After the consecration, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the church.
His Holiness was co-served by Bishop Kirill of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov, Vicar of the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra, rector of the Moscow Theological Academy; Bishop Alexy of Ramenskoye, personal secretary of His Holiness the Patriarch; Protopresbyter Vladimir Divakov; Archpriest Dionysius Kazantsev; rector of the church Archpriest Alexander Menzelintsev, as well as the clergy of the Moscow Archdiocese and the city of Moscow.

The liturgical hymns were performed by the choir of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra conducted by Hieromonk Nestor (Volkov).
On the day of the memory of the Holy Saints Prince Peter and Princess Fevronia, special petitions were offered at a special litany for the preservation of marital unions, peace and unity of mind in families, and the strengthening of love and piety. His Holiness Patriarch Kirill also read a prayer for Holy Russia.
At the end of the Liturgy, the rector of the church, Archpriest Alexander Menzelintsev, greeted His Holiness and presented him with an icon of the Mother of God "The Week". The Primate of the Russian Church addressed the audience with a Primatial address and donated an icon of the Savior to the newly consecrated church.
Then the Patriarchal Awards were presented to those who made a significant contribution to the construction and beautification of the temple. The rector of the church, Archpriest Alexander Menzelintsev, was awarded the Order of St. Sergius of Radonezh, III degree. The head of Rospotrebnadzor, A.Y. Popova, and the director of the F.F. FNGTS also received church awards. Erisman S.V. Kuzmin and other participants in the construction. The construction of the temple began with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill in 2022. The place for it was chosen for a reason: the Seventh-day Icon of the Mother of God has been revered since ancient times as a defender against epidemics, and the temple was built on the territory of Russia's oldest scientific institution in the field of hygiene, which has a history of more than 130 years.
On September 17, 2022, the foundation stone of the future church was consecrated, and on October 26, 2024, on the day of special veneration of the Seventh-Day Icon of the Mother of God, the bells were consecrated and the cross was erected on the dome.
The construction was carried out with voluntary donations. The temple project was implemented under the guidance of corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts, hereditary architect Alexander Nikolaevich Obolensky, who died on August 24, 2026.
The two-storey church with choirs and a belfry reaches a height of more than 31 meters and can accommodate up to 300 worshippers at the same time.
