The Global Orthodox project continues to collect a database of Orthodox churches, chapels, and prayer rooms at secular universities, institutes, and colleges in Russia. We invite clergy, teachers, students, graduates, and anyone who knows of such communities to share information and fill out a questionnaire in the Yandex form.
One of the most famous university temples in the country is the Church of the Martyr Tatiana at Moscow State University on Mokhovaya Street. Its history is closely connected with university life, and Tatiana's Day unites the church tradition and the holiday of Russian students. This example encourages us to take a closer look at the life of temples in other educational organizations: to find out where they operate, who comes to them, and what place they occupy in the student community.
The student years are a time of professional development, the formation of a worldview and moral guidelines. A young man learns to make decisions on his own, to be responsible for his actions, to build relationships with others. It is during this period that the opportunity for a meaningful conversation about faith and conscience, the experience of caring for one's neighbor, and attention to the meaning of life and human dignity are especially important.
The university church can become a significant space for spiritual education and personal communication. Meetings with a priest, acquaintance with Orthodox culture, participation in divine services, charity and volunteer activities help young people to comprehend their life path. For students who find themselves far from home, the community can also become a place of support, friendship and confidential conversation.

Our task is to collect information about these temples and get acquainted with the life of student communities. It is important for us to find out how the interaction with the educational institution develops, what meetings and educational events take place, whether students participate in social assistance and volunteering, and what initiatives the young people themselves offer.

Information is often posted on various university, diocesan, and parish resources. A common database will help make this experience more accessible: students will find a temple and a community, clergymen and teachers will get to know the practices of colleagues, and researchers will receive material for studying the spiritual life of modern youth.
We continue to collect data and ask anyone who has information about a temple, chapel, or prayer room at a university or college to respond. Information from people directly involved in the life of the community is especially valuable. Rectors and parishioners, employees of educational organizations, students and graduates can share them.
Even if you only know the name of the temple, educational institution, or community page on the Internet, this information will help you continue your search. Tell us also about student initiatives, meetings, and good deeds that bring community members together.

Fill out the questionnaire in the Yandex form: https://forms .yandex.ru/u/6ade57344a052d0db25cf73e/.
We invite you to share this message with the university and parish communities. Your participation will help preserve and present the experience of spiritual education of students in different regions of Russia.
