Against the background of the recent events surrounding the Armenian Apostolic Church, hundreds of priests from various dioceses in Armenia and in the Diaspora have made public statements and publications expressing their unconditional support for the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

Appeals from the clergy are being distributed on social networks and in the public space, emphasizing filial fidelity to the Church, as well as faith in the continuity of its spiritual mission. According to reports, more than 100 clergy have already joined this initiative.
The statements emphasize that in the current situation it is necessary to remain faithful and steadfast in their church vocation and mission, and to express love and devotion to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians through even more selfless service.
Currently, the Armenian Apostolic Church has a total of 489 priests, of whom 250 serve in Armenia and 239 in the Diaspora.
The appeals from various dioceses reaffirm the unwavering devotion to the Mother Church and its primate, while emphasizing that the Patriarch continues to be a key symbol of the spiritual unity of the Armenian people.
At the same time, a small part of the clergy joins the "Church improvement agenda" announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and a number of bishops. The Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, Ruben Rubinyan, wrote on a social network that more than 20 archimandrites and priests had joined the "beautification agenda" presented by ten bishops.
