Parishioners of a Cheboksary Church Sent Blessed Easter Cakes to the Special Military Operation Zone

Easter gifts for servicemen were dispatched from Cheboksary to the operation zone. Clergy and parishioners of the Church of the Nativity of the Holy Prophet, Forerunner, and Baptist John decided to support the soldiers ahead of Pascha and offer them a small share of warmth from home.

Parishioners helped bake the Easter cakes, while children from the parish Sunday school decorated them.

“I believe this is very important for the soldiers, because it is not simply food—it is also the warmth of home. May this modest gift become for them a symbol of support, a reminder that they are remembered, valued, and awaited at home,” said Archpriest Pyotr Fedorov, rector of the church.

Sending Easter cakes to the operation zone before Pascha has become a tradition for the parish. Parishioners gladly joined the initiative, bringing ingredients for baking—flour, sugar, raisins, butter—while others helped bake and decorate.

The church prepares cottage-cheese Easter cakes for shipment because they remain fresh longer and do not dry out as quickly as traditional yeast-based cakes.

This year, parishioners prepared more than one hundred Easter cakes. They were blessed by the rector and sent to the servicemen together with other humanitarian aid.

Earlier it was reported that a humanitarian convoy had been dispatched from Chuvashia to the operation zone.

The shipment included 100 tons of essential supplies: off-road vehicles, lumber, modern equipment, and more than 50 kilometers of anti-drone netting.
