On the 12th week of Pentecost, August 31, 2025, at the invitation of Metropolitan Silouan of the mountains of Lebanon and the representative of the patriarch of Antioch and all the East to the Moscow Patriarch of Niphon, Archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev), the representative of the patriarch of Moscow and all Russia to the Antioch Patriarch of the throne, accepted participation in Matins and Divine Liturgy in the Church of the prophet of God Elijah G. Hamman (mountain Ivan).
The service of the Liturgy was led by Metropolitan Silouan of Lebanon and Metropolitan Niphon of Philippopolis in the service of Archimandrite Philip and the local clergy.
The service was performed in Arabic and Church Slavonic, according to the website of the representative office of the Russian Orthodox Church in Beirut.
After the resurrection Gospel reading, Metropolitan Niphon delivered a confession.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Silouan warmly welcomed Vladyka Niphon and Archimandrite Philip and spoke about the importance of Representative service in fraternal local churches.
In memory of his joint ministry, Metropolitan Silouan presented Vladyka Niphon with a holy Panagia.
After the service, a fraternal tea feast was held in the parish hall of the church, during which Metropolitan Niphon of Philippopolis told the parishioners about the modern life of the Russian Orthodox Church.
