On October 26, 2025, the opening of the interreligious forum, held annually by the Catholic Community of St. Egidius, took place in the auditorium of the Parco della Musica in Rome. This year's meeting is being held under the slogan "Dare the world."
With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the Russian Orthodox Church is represented at the event by Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate's Department for External Church Relations.
During the opening ceremony, President of the Italian Republic S. Mattarella, Queen Mathilde of Belgium, founder of the Community of St. Egidius A. Riccardi, Chairman of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of Italy Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, Mayor of Rome R. Gualtieri, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ahmed Al-Tayeb addressed the participants of the meeting.
Among the participants of the forum are His Beatitude Archbishop John of Tirana and All Albania, Primate of the Assyrian Church of the East Catholicos-Patriarch Mar Ava III and other distinguished guests.
