On October 1, 2026, in Moscow, the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Konstantin of Cairo and North Africa, took part in the strategic session "Russia-Africa: Defining the Architecture of Cooperation" organized by the African Initiative in honor of the agency's three—year anniversary.
The event brought together representatives of Russian government authorities, diplomatic missions, business and expert circles.
Opening the session, the agency's editor—in-chief, Artyom Kureev, stressed the importance of discussing the challenges of interaction with the continent on the eve of the third Russia-Africa summit. The participants shared their views on how Russia should build cooperation with African countries in the future.
Speaking about the missionary work, the head of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa noted that, despite the successes, our Fatherland and the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa face serious challenges, including organizing social and educational activities in the countries of the continent.
After the event, the hierarch had a meeting with the staff of the African Initiative dedicated to the development of joint cooperation between the exarchate and the information agency in Africa.
