His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia delivered a message following the Moscow-wide procession, which took place on September 7, 2025.

To the Right Reverend archpastors, clergymen, monastics and laity of the Mother See.

Your Eminences and Eminences!
Dear fathers, abbesses, monks, and parishioners of Moscow churches!
The Moscow-wide procession that took place last Sunday, which, as we all hope, will revive the annual tradition of such processions, was truly a great celebration of the Mother See. With this, we have convincingly testified that Moscow is indeed an Orthodox capital and will never give up its Christian heritage.

I sincerely thank you all for your zeal for God and the Orthodox faith, for your firmness and patience, for your solidarity and love. Everyone notes the special prayer atmosphere, unanimity and goodwill that prevailed among the participants of the procession. I am glad that there were a great many Moscow saints who came to glorify the Lord and are celebrated on this day, and among them a large number of young people and families with children. It can already be said that the number of crusaders has significantly exceeded expectations and amounted to tens of thousands of people.

"There is no greater joy for me than to hear that my children walk in the truth," testified the apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian (3 John 1:4). As the Primate of the Russian Church and the ruling bishop of the city of Moscow, there is no greater joy for me than to hear the common prayer to the Lord, performed by Orthodox Muscovites with one heart and one mouth.

I ask you to share the joy of participating in the Moscow-wide procession with those who, for one reason or another, could not be with us on this day. I also ask you to convey my gratitude to those who, perhaps, have not yet become accustomed to common prayer within church walls, but on the day of the Moscow church celebration joined the prayer procession for the glory of Christ and in memory of His Moscow saints.

I believe and know that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Conqueror of death, will reward your boldness, grant you eternal life instead of temporary and incorruptible instead of corruptible (cf. the prayers of the anaphora of the Liturgy of St. Basil the Great).

Once again, I express my deep gratitude to all of you and invoke God's blessing on your labors.
+KIRILL, PATRIARCH OF MOSCOW AND ALL RUSSIA
