Archbishop Savva of Zelenograd, Chairman of the Synodal Missionary Department and Deputy Administrator of the Moscow Patriarchate, published important information on his telegram channel for participants in the Moscow-wide procession, which will take place on September 6, 2026.
The route of the procession is planned to be the same as last year: from the Cathedral Cathedral of Christ the Savior to the Novodevichy Stavropol Convent through the embankments of the Moskva River and Khamovnicheskiy Val. At the same time, at the turn from the embankment to Khamovnicheskiy Val, it is planned to make a stop with the singing of a prayer service in front of the shrines accompanying the procession. After the prayer service, the procession will continue to the Novodevichy Monastery. Additions on the order of completion of the procession will be published in the coming days.
The gathering of participants will begin at 10.00. Passage and security control will be carried out through metal detector frames at the beginning of the Kremlin Embankment under the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge (entrance from Moskvoretskaya Street). A map of the passage can be found on the religious procession website. Unlike last year, there will be no gathering on Volkhonka.
Canonical icons, banners, banners and banners with images of saints, names or emblems of canonical structures of the Russian Orthodox Church, and the national flag of Russia are allowed to be carried during the procession. To speed up the passage of security control, it is desirable that the icons should be no more than 40x50 cm in size, without metal inserts and heavy kiosks. It is advisable to have banners, banners and banners on non-metallic poles and without metal inserts or with the ability to fold these objects for carrying through an introscope.
As in the previous year, it is not allowed to carry containers with water or other beverages through the frames. The distribution of water is provided by the organizing committee after passing the framework.
Choral groups will be distributed along the procession column (at least in the first part of it), which will perform prayer singing according to a special order, including while waiting for the procession to begin. Those who wish to join the singing can download the prayer book of the procession from the link on the official website. Taking into account possible communication outages, it is recommended to do this in advance.
The Organizing Committee of the procession tried to make decisions to avoid the practical difficulties that arose last year. However, not everything can be foreseen, and unexpected difficulties may arise. The organizers express the hope that this will not overshadow the Easter joy of the Moscow-wide celebration for the participants.
