During another UAV raid by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a drone flew into the gates of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kamenka-Dneprovskaya, Zaporizhia region, on August 10, 2026, but no detonation occurred, according to a message on the Berdyansk diocese's page on the VKontakte social network.
"Today, a drone crashed into the church gate of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and did not detonate — it only got stuck in the gate with blades," said Archpriest Oleg Chikvashvili, dean of the Kamensk—Dneprovsky church district of the Berdyansk diocese, rector of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary.
"At that moment, the priest's family with young children were on the territory of the temple, in a house that was located within a radius of five meters from the incident. Military sappers of the Russian Armed Forces neutralized the drone and removed it from the temple gates. Thank God, no one was injured!" added Father Oleg.
An explosion attempt was made on the territory of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Zaporozhye region.
