On July 29th, the Moscow Synodal Choir held a concert in the crypt of the St. Sava Temple in Belgrade. The event was organized to celebrate the Day of Spiritual Culture of Russia in Serbia. As reported by tvhram.rs, during their visit to Serbia, the Synodal Choir also performed in Subotica on July 28th.

The concert featured works by Tchaikovsky, Sviridov, Chesnokov, Kastalsky, Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeyev), and other composers. In honor of the 150th anniversary of Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff, celebrated worldwide this year, the Synodal Choir presented his composition "Come, Let Us Worship" to the Serbian audience. Additionally, they performed Serbian folk songs "Tamo daleko" and "Vera vecna," shared the artistic director of the Moscow Synodal Choir, Honored Artist of Russia, Alexey Puzakov, with "Orpheus" radio.

The St. Sava Temple in Belgrade is considered one of the largest Orthodox cathedrals in the world. It was built on the Vracar Hill, at the site where in 1595, the Ottoman governor Sinan Pasha burned the relics of the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church to mock his memory, the Serbian people, and the entire Christian doctrine. The temple's initial designs were made in 1905, but construction began only in 1935. Due to World War II, the construction was halted and remained suspended for most of the communist era. It was only in 1985 that authorities permitted the resumption of work. The dome was completed in 1989, and by 2004, the primary construction was finished, followed by the official opening of the temple. The interior decorations were fully completed in 2021, with a significant feature being the mosaic created by Serbian and Russian artists.
