After the Liturgy at the Uspensky Zheltikov Monastery in Tver on March 28, 2025, Metropolitan Ambrose of Tver and Kashinsky consecrated 50 pieces of equipment for the needs of military personnel in the war zone and seven-seater cars for large families.
The equipment was purchased with the participation of the curators of the Uspensky Zheltikov Monastery of the Tver Diocese and the church of the Chernigov Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Sanino in the Alexander Diocese and with the support of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia. More than 50 pieces of equipment (cars, ATVs, motorcycles) were consecrated, as well as bulletproof vests, hard hats, sleeping bags, chainsaws, generators, portable furnaces.
Three seven-seater cars were consecrated and presented to the clergy of the Tver Diocese with many children. Earlier, Metropolitan Ambrose handed over car keys to five large families of Tver priests.
Before the consecration, the head of the Tver Metropolia addressed all those gathered with the words:
"This ancient monastery was founded by St. Arseny, Bishop of Tver. Unfortunately, it was practically destroyed in the 20th century, and only small ruins remaining of its former beauty testify to the spiritual power that resided here and the prayer that has been performed here for centuries.
Today, we have gathered in order, thanks to caring people who love God, the Holy Church and our Fatherland, to consecrate the equipment necessary for the soldiers and defenders of our Fatherland, and to pray that the Lord will keep them in the difficult circumstances in which they find themselves.
We will also consecrate several cars for the extended families of our clergy, who show a good example of fulfilling the very first commandment of God given to man, "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and possess it."
Today we will consecrate this technique and ask for blessings to all those people who will work on it and do everything necessary to save people's lives.
First of all, I would like to thank the curators and parishioners of the Uspensky Zheltikov Monastery of the Tver Diocese and the church in Sanin of the Alexander Diocese, thanks to whose goodwill and capabilities we are witnessing today how caring people, being in the rear, actually help those who are on the battlefield. May God's blessing be with you, who have invested your heart, your abilities and your means in saving the lives of our soldiers."
The transfer of equipment was attended by the head of the Liberal Democratic Party L.E. Slutsky and entrepreneur P.A. Zakharov.
The consecrated equipment was handed over to representatives of military units. She will be sent to the free zone. The provided equipment will help save lives and provide additional protection to Russian servicemen. After the consecration, the bishop personally handed over the keys to cars and equipment, and blessed everyone.
L.E. Slutsky presented the Assumption Monastery with an icon of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the early 19th century and expressed his desire to participate in the revival of the monastery.
The head of the Tver Archdiocese presented medals: for the virtuous Christian life and the strength of family foundations based on mutual love and fidelity, Archpriest Mikhail and Anastasia Vasilyevna Koroleva, as well as Priest Sergius and Anastasia Alexandrovna Mizyukov were awarded medals of the Venerable Grand Duke Mikhail Tversky and the Venerable Grand Duchess Anna Kashinskaya.
Metropolitan Ambrose and the head of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, L.E. Slutsky, took part in a press conference and also inspected machinery and equipment.
