On October 26, 2026, an award ceremony was held in Moscow for journalists, war correspondents, documentary filmmakers and public figures covering the ministry of military clergy in the special military operation zone.
The ceremony took place in the building of the Synodal Department for Cooperation with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies. Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk, Chairman of the department, presented the participants with the insignia "Archangel Michael" of the III degree.
Awards were awarded to Daniil Bezsonov, Ekaterina Vasina (Arkalova), Veronika Ivashchenko, Vladislav Lobaev, Ekaterina Mesinova, Andrey Ponomarenko, Yana Poplavskaya, Mokey Rusinov and Lada Sinyutkina.
Addressing the audience, Metropolitan Kirill thanked them for their personal courage, cooperation with the Church, and attention to the labors of military priests. "You are on the front line, you see this truth with your own eyes, you honestly tell the public about it and reveal the secret feat of a military priest on the firing line," the archpastor noted.
After the ceremony, a conversation was held on the spiritual support of military personnel and the coordination of humanitarian assistance. The meeting participants also outlined joint documentary and educational projects.
