On November 20, Metropolitan Pavel visited the Blessed Matrona of Moscow Missionary Center in Davao, where he led a thanksgiving prayer in honor of the birthday of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
In his address to those gathered, the bishop expressed gratitude for their prayers and emphasized the importance of faith and hope in God's help. During his trip, Metropolitan Pavel plans to conduct a diocesan meeting, ordain two deacons, meet with the Russian ambassador and local authorities, as well as hold services and prayers.
The Missionary Center in Davao, established in 2017, supports parishes on the island of Mindanao. The center provides training for Filipinos wishing to continue their education in Russia and works on translating liturgical texts and the Holy Scriptures into local languages. In 2024, a plot of land was allocated for the construction of a new building for the center, which is currently housed in rented premises.
