During the academic year, Liturgies in foreign languages are celebrated for students of the Nikolo-Ugres Seminary who came to study from African countries.
The first Liturgy for African students this academic year was celebrated on September 13 at the Nikolo-Ugresh Monastery. Her ministry was headed by the head of the Department of Additional Education, Priest Sergiy Shilov. He was co-served by clerics of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa, who are undergoing liturgical practice in Moscow parishes.
The service was conducted in English and Swahili, according to the website of the theological school. The Apostolic and evangelical readings were also performed in French and Malagasy.
