A unique exhibition has opened in Pskov dedicated to the work and creativity of Vera Lebedeva, a renowned restorer and architect who engaged in the restoration of ancient Pskov churches immediately after the Great Patriotic War. The exposition, presented by the staff of the Federal Pskov Museum-Reserve, includes working drawings of the Mirozh Monastery, the only place in Russia where pre-Mongol frescoes are best preserved.

The theme of restoring historical heritage is of special significance for Pskov, as almost all civilian buildings were destroyed during the bombings of the Great Patriotic War. However, many temples survived, albeit with damages, requiring restoration. The city was liberated from German occupation in July 1944, and in 1945, Pskov was included in the list of 15 Soviet cities prioritized for restoration.

The exhibition, organized in the museum-apartment of Yuri Pavlovich Spehalsky, an outstanding restorer of Pskov, is titled "The Pure Image of the Generation" and tells the story of Vera Lebedeva's work in restoring architectural monuments in Pskov after the war. Exhibits include drawings of the Mirozh Monastery, forged nails, and ceramics from the Resurrection of Christ Church in the village of Pustoye Voskreseniye.

According to legend, the Resurrection of Christ Church was discovered by a local shepherd in the forest, giving the village its name - Pustoye Voskreseniye (Empty Resurrection). The exhibition also features authentic items belonging to Vera Lebedeva and photographs reflecting the process of Pskov's restoration.
