The first International Congress of Russophiles was a milestone event, marking a positive shift on the world stage. Taking place on March 14, 2023, delegates to Russia arrived from Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America, with American citizens also present to give their support.
Russia is a thousand-year-old Christian civilization, with a great culture and beautiful, sincere, gifted, kind people, who laid the foundation for civilization which spread over vast expanses of Eurasia. Bigger and broader than any of the current news headlines, Russia's great significance and beauty deserves to be loved and admired. Indeed, Russophiles are not those who unconditionally support Russia's policies, leadership, and ideology. Even among those who may differ on one point or another, the Russophile movement is simply for those who love Russia, for those who seek her success and consider her a friend.
Guests included an array of personalities from across the globe, including Sicilian princess Vittoria Alliata di Villafranca, cosmopolitan geopolitician Pepe Escobar, American actor Steven Seagal, and Italian Prelate Carlo Maria Vigano, who sees in Russia the last bulwark of salvation in a world that is inexorably slipping into Satanism, transhumanism and degeneration.
The chosen emblem of the new Russophile movement is a ballerina throwing a satellite into the air and wrapped in the colors of the Russian flag, emphasizing that the Russophile movement is focused on uniting people around a good and beautiful culture.
Many speeches were dedicated to the multipolar world order, rejecting all forms of intellectual tyranny, recognizing that governments do not always reflect the position of society. Historically, Russia has shown itself to be a multipolar society, with hundreds of peoples and cultures are still preserved in it, peacefully and harmoniously living among one another.
On behalf of Russia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, Speaker of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, well-known political and public figure Konstantin Malofeev, as well as representatives of the Duma and the Federation Council took part. Lavrov outlined Russia's strategic vision of the future world order. According to him, it can only be based on true democracy, respect for international law and consideration of the will of all civilizations, peoples and cultures of mankind - beyond the hegemony of any side.
