In March 2026, with the blessing of the head of the Kuzbass Metropolitanate, Metropolitan Aristarchus of Kemerovo and Prokopiev, the rector of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Kemerovo, Priest John Pavlyuk, made another business trip to the area of a special military operation. The purpose of the trip, which has already become a regular one, is the spiritual care of Russian servicemen.
In a combat situation, the main tasks of a military priest remain the spiritual support of defenders before going on missions, performing divine services and the necessary sacraments. Special attention is paid to Confession, Communion and Baptism.
As before, the military field church, consecrated in honor of the Great Martyr George the Victorious, became the center of Father John's ministry on this business trip. It is one of the largest underground temples in its area.
At the request of the command, the priest also consecrated residential dugouts, special fortifications and military equipment. A significant part of the time was spent in personal conversations with the fighters, aimed at strengthening the spirit and affirming faith.
