The authorities of the Ternopil region have disconnected the convent of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) from the power supply. Thus, in a region where the authorities support schismatics, nuns from the Epiphany Kremenets monastery are trying to survive, the channel notes.

At the beginning of autumn it became known that the monastery could be closed. At the same time, a call to pray for Abbess Dimitri and the sisters spread among the faithful.

Recall that on September 4, police officers cordoned off the monastery. Only those who present documents can enter its territory.

The Union of Orthodox Journalists has published a statement of the monastery. The authors of the document note that the monastery has been here for more than three decades. The current lease agreement between the monastery and the Kremenets-Pochaevsky Historical and Architectural Reserve was signed in 2018, its validity expired the day before, on September 3, 2023.

The monastery's management contacted the Ministry of Culture in advance about extending the lease term, but received no response. The UOC also appealed to the administration of the reserve with a request not to evict the organization before renegotiating the lease agreement, for which the monastery did everything possible.
