The presentation of the book "Holy Doctors", prepared in 2025 by the regional educational public organization "Association of Orthodox Scientists", took place at the Medical College of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and at the Sakhalin Regional Hospital.
Deacon Igor Ryazantsev, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Orthodox Scientists, Doctor of Economics, Professor of St. Tikhon's University for the Humanities, and Nina Grigorievna Shamshurina, member of the Association, Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Medical Statistics and Digital Healthcare of the Russian Medical Academy of Continuing Professional Education, made a presentation for the students of the Medical College.

Speaking to college students, Father Igor Ryazantsev spoke about the history of the book's preparation for publication, as well as about the organization's activities. He stressed the importance of future doctors realizing the priority of traditional moral values that have guided Christian doctors for centuries. The Moscow guest wished the students, inspired by the examples of the lives of holy doctors, to perceive their future work in medical institutions not just as a craft, but as service to God and their country.
According to Nina Grigorievna Shamshurina, the book contains the stories of twenty–five saints, from the Apostle and Evangelist Luke to St. Luke, Archbishop of Crimea. "For two thousand years," Nadezhda Grigorievna noted, "the Orthodox Church has preserved the memory of outstanding doctors who combined their medical vocation with a Christian life." She briefly described each of the book's characters, including the martyr life-physician Evgeny Botkin, the Holy Martyr Seraphim (Chichagov), the martyr military physician Nikolai Ornatsky, the Holy Great Martyr and healer Panteleimon, the holy doctors Kosmas and Damian (Asiysky), and others.
At the end of the meeting, the students asked their questions to the guests. Several copies of the book "Holy Doctors", as well as books dedicated to the life and works of St. Innocent of Moscow, were transferred to the college library.
The presentation of the publication was also held at the Sakhalin Regional Clinical Hospital.
Copies of the book were presented to the attending doctors of the hospital. The meeting participants thanked the representatives of the Association for their efforts to preserve the memory of Christian doctors and promote their legacy.
