With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, on December 9, 2025, an ark containing a fragment of the relics of St. Luke, Confessor, Archbishop of Crimea, will be brought to the Sretensky Stavropol Monastery in Moscow.
According to the website of the Sretensky Monastery, access to the relics will be open daily from 8.00 to 20.00. During the day, prayer services with the akathist will be held in front of the shrine (on weekdays at 10.00, 12.00, 14.00 and 16.00; on Saturday and Sunday at 12.00, 14.00 and 16.00).
The shrine will remain in the monastery until December 20.

St. Luke (Voino-Yasenetsky, 1877-1961) was a bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church, an outstanding surgeon and professor of medicine. He was born in Kerch. He combined medical practice with pastoral ministry. In 1923, he became a monk and a bishop. He was repeatedly arrested and exiled for openly professing his faith (he spent about 11 years in prison), but continued to serve the Church and operate. He spent the last 15 years of his life in Crimea, as Archbishop of Simferopol. He was canonized in 1995. He is revered as a miracle worker.
