The Geoscan Group has introduced Russia’s first portal featuring detailed 3D models of cultural heritage sites. The project, "3D Heritage: Preserving Culture," aims to document historical monuments, support restoration efforts, and promote science, education, and virtual tourism.

The platform’s library already includes 27 objects, among them Kizhi Pogost, the Garni Temple in Armenia, and the Citadel of Damascus. These digital models will assist researchers and restorers while also allowing the public to explore the world's cultural treasures.

On the portal heritage3d.ru, users can upload their own 3D models of monuments, contributing to their preservation. The project seeks to engage universities, research institutions, and experts in aerial photography and restoration.

Alexey Yuretsky, General Director of Geoscan, expressed hope that the platform will unite a community of like-minded individuals dedicated to preserving cultural heritage.
