The first memorial service was held at the Christian cemetery in the Republic of Mauritius.
The divine service was performed on February 11, 2024 by Archpriest Dimitri Matienko, who was sent to the island of Mauritius in the autumn of 2023 to create and organize parish life.
During the memorial service, prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the newly deceased parishioner of the temple and all Orthodox Christians who had died on the island.
