On April 20, 2025, on the feast of the Bright Resurrection of Christ, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia held a traditional teleconference with Russian cosmonauts on duty aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
The teleconference was organized from the Hall of the Supreme Church Council in the Cathedral Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow via a video link provided by the Mission Control Center and VGTRK.
Currently, the crew of the 73rd long-term expedition is working on the ISS — Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov, Alexey Zubritsky, Kirill Peskov, NASA astronauts Jonathan Kim, Anne McClain, Nicole Ayers and JAXA astronaut Takuya Onishi.
The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church and the cosmonauts exchanged Easter greetings. Russian members of the ISS crew took part in the further conversation.
At the end of the conversation, the cosmonauts cordially thanked His Holiness Patriarch Kirill for his blessing, prayers and edification, congratulating the Primate of the Russian Church on the "Feast of Feasts, the triumph of celebrations" — the Bright Resurrection of Christ.
