Preparations for the large-scale socio-spiritual project "Road Train for the Spiritual Rebirth of Russia" have been launched in the Novosibirsk Region. In 2026, it will be held in ten municipal districts of the region as part of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The expedition is scheduled to operate from April 22 to September 23 and will cover about seven thousand residents.
The team will include about 50 specialists from different fields. Among them are doctors of narrow specialties, teachers, social protection workers, representatives of the clergy and creative teams. The project is being implemented with the support of the regional government, the Novosibirsk Metropolia of the Russian Orthodox Church and local administrations.
The main purpose of the road train is to help residents of remote territories and unite the efforts of the state, public organizations and the church. As part of the project, residents will be able to receive medical consultations, social support, as well as participation in educational and cultural events.
The work of the road train will be organized in several directions. Doctors from leading medical institutions in Novosibirsk will receive appointments at central district hospitals. Lectures on disease prevention, consultations with specialists from social services and the pension fund, as well as targeted assistance to families and people in difficult situations are planned. Seminars are organized for teachers and parents, and educational meetings are organized for schoolchildren and students. Cultural events and commemorative ceremonies will also be held in each district.
The route of the road train will cover Suzunsky, Dovolensky, Ubinsky, Ordynsky, Cherepanovsky, Krasnozersky, Bolotninsky, Moshkovsky, Kolyvansky and Chulymsky districts. In some areas, the work will take place in conjunction with a floating temple, which will cover the most inaccessible settlements. In addition, a special feature of this year's campaign will be synchronized work with the Ship, the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called. In Bolotninsky, Moshkovsky and Kolyvansky districts, where residents of the most remote settlements, which are difficult to reach by land transport, will be able to contact doctors, social services specialists and clergy.
The project has a long history. It dates back to the mid-1990s and has since changed its format several times, expanding its geography and areas of work. Today, the road train continues to be one of the largest outbound social initiatives in the region.
