The Orthodox chapel, which was built on the territory of the New Cemetery of Novocherkassk, was consecrated on November 1. Its members are buried on the Walk of Fame. This was reported in the press service of the Novocherkassk administration.

The chapel was consecrated in honor of the Holy Great Martyr John the Warrior by the head of the Don Archdiocese, Metropolitan Mercury of Rostov and Novocherkassk. It is dedicated to the memory of those who died in the SVO zone.

— This chapel is not just an architectural structure. It is a living symbol of our faith, a place of tireless prayer for the repose of the souls of our fallen soldiers, a place of spiritual solace for their grieving relatives and friends," said the Metropolitan.
