On September 9, 2025, the Tsigănești Monastery in the Strășeni district of Moldova held a grand celebration marking the 300th anniversary of its founding and the 35th anniversary of its revival. The festive Divine Liturgy was led by Metropolitan Vladimir of Chișinău and all Moldova.

The metropolitan was warmly welcomed by the monastery's abbot, Archimandrite Irinarh (Costru), along with the brotherhood, clergy, and numerous pilgrims. During the liturgy, the metropolitan was assisted by Archbishop Anatolie of Cahul and Comrat, Archbishop Ioan of Soroca and Drochia, Bishop Filaret of Căpriana, a vicar of the Moldovan Metropolis, and clergy from Moldova and Georgia, including Archimandrite Ioan (Okropiridze), the spiritual father of the Tbilisi Assumption Women's Monastery.

In honor of the anniversary and for his dedicated service to the Church, Abbot Irinarh was awarded the right to wear a second jeweled cross. The festive service concluded with a thanksgiving moleben.

Founded around 1725, Tsigănești Monastery became a spiritual refuge for Christians during Tatar raids. The monastery faced severe trials during the Soviet period, as monks were expelled in 1959 and the buildings were converted into a psychiatric hospital. The revival of the monastery began on September 8, 1992, when the first residents returned. Today, the monastery features three churches, including one built in 2009 in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God "Life-Giving Spring."
