With the blessing of Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea, a winter gathering of the Crimean regional branch of the Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders named after St. Luke is taking place on January 10-12 at the Eagle Flight tourist base.
This rally continues the theme of the year, and is called the "Cadet Corps." The pathfinders will have to thoroughly prepare for the summer final camp dedicated to the events of the First Defense of Sevastopol.
The winter gathering brought together more than 120 children from all over Crimea. A special feature is that for the first time pathfinders from Bratsk Melitopol take part in it.
Any gathering of pathfinders traditionally begins with a prayer service, which was led by the dean of the Northern Church District, the spiritual leader of the Brotherhood, Archpriest Boris Kravets, co—served by the leaders of the detachments.
After the prayer service, Father Boris addressed the participants of the gathering with a welcoming speech in which he wished them to love God and the Fatherland, support each other and learn to be friends.
The solemn ceremony continued with the reading of the laws of the pathfinders, the welcoming speech of the head of the Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders of Crimea, Andrei Vitalievich Polishchuk, who wished adults and children to become better every day than yesterday, and the announcement of the rules of the rally.
