A lesson of spiritual and moral education dedicated to Orthodox holidays was held in the Kugesinsky kindergarten "Purneske" Cheboksary municipal district.
The lesson began with a story about the Nativity of Christ. The children watched an educational video that helped them understand the significance of this event. Then the students went to the parish of the church of the Sovereign Icon of the Mother of God.
They were warmly welcomed in the church by the rector, Archpriest Nikolai Pitirnov.
Father Nikolai told the children about the history of the Nativity and Epiphany holidays in an accessible way. He explained why water is consecrated on the feast of Epiphany and what it means for believers.
The children looked at the temple's decorations and icons with interest and asked their questions. The tour allowed them not only to learn about church traditions, but also to feel the special, solemn atmosphere of the temple.
This event was an important practical step for preschoolers in learning the basics of Orthodox culture and Russian traditions. Such events help to instill in children from an early age respect for the spiritual values and cultural heritage of their country.
