The Assumption Church in the village of Kamyshleika in the Neverkinsky district of the Penza region is recognized as an object of cultural heritage of regional significance. This was announced on January 20 by the press service of the Ministry for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments of the Penza Region.
The building is brick, single–domed, pillarless, having three: the main one in the name of the Dormition of the Mother of God and the limits in honor of the Vladimir Mother of God and in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
The church was built in 1813 at the expense of the landowner Molchanova, who owned the village in the early 19th century.
"The Assumption Church is an expressive example of the Russian Empire style, which is distinguished by its strict forms and clear lines. This building bears the imprint of time and history, reflecting both the architectural trends of the era and the religious traditions of the region," the message says.
