Patrick Lancaster is a freelance journalist covering the armed conflict in Donetsk, Lugansk, and Eastern Ukraine. This video captures his visit to the town of Nikolskoe in the Lugansk Republic, from which the Ukrainian forces have recently retreated.

There is a monastery in the town, and the church there is completely destroyed. We witness the artillery shelling of the place by the Ukrainian troops, while the Russian rescue team is unloading the humanitarian aid delivered for the town residents, and they are getting ready to evacuate the children who had been taking refuge in the monastery.
