Clergymen who provide spiritual support to the participants of the Special Military Operation in Ukraine, appeal to them to refrain from using obscene language on the front line. This information was provided by the chairman of the information Commission of the Moscow City Diocese, rector of St. Sergius of Radonezh Church in Solntsevo, Father Alexander Volkov.
As he noted: "Priests always give the same message to both young and experienced fighters - you can't swear on the front line. It's clear that there's shooting, it's scary, and you can only give an order faster with obscenities, but we always say that if you pick up a weapon, forget about swearing."
Father Alexander made this statement at a press conference organized in honor of the World Day against Profanity, which is celebrated on February 3. He also stressed that abusive words have a negative spiritual background, which has a significant negative impact on a person.
