The new church in the Jubilee neighborhood will be dedicated to the heroes of the special military operation and the Russian army. According to the Yekaterinodar diocese, the temple complex will become the most magnificent not only in the south of Russia, but also throughout the country.
The height of the temple from the base to the top of the main cross will be 70 m. It will become the highest in Russia dedicated to the participants of a special military operation.
The project includes the creation of commemorative zones in honor of Russian soldiers who died defending the Fatherland and the Orthodox faith. Special attention will be paid to interior decoration — the selection of icons will reflect the historical moments of the intercession of the Mother of God in military history.
Educational and patriotic events, classes for young people and leisure programs are planned to be held in the assembly hall of the temple.
The existing Church of the Nativity in the Jubilee neighborhood accommodates only 500 people and has long been unable to cope with the flow of believers. Therefore, it was decided to build a more spacious complex designed for a thousand parishioners. The new temple will become not only a place of prayer, but also a center of spiritual, educational and social attraction for the residents of the district.
Special attention will be paid to landscape design: a park area of about four hectares will be laid out around the temple. This square will be open to everyone. Thus, the total area of the landscaped embankment will increase by almost two and a half times, exceeding the current 1.8 hectares.
The building area of the temple will be 3,226 square meters. The building will have a width of 36.36 meters, a length of 47.90 meters, and its height with a base and a cross will reach 70 meters. The main prayer hall with an area of 537 square meters can accommodate up to 1,070 parishioners at the same time.
The structure of the cathedral will also include a conference hall for 300 people, a dining room with 60 seats and a Sunday school for 70 students.
Russia's tallest temple dedicated to the participants of the special military operation will appear in Krasnodar
