Sevastopol's Legislative Assembly (Crimea) has submitted a bill to the State Duma imposing fines of up to 500,000 rubles ($8,300) for individuals and up to 10 million rubles ($166,000) for legal entities for propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations.

The bill proposes to abolish Article 6.21 of the RF Code of Administrative Offences, which previously imposed fines for LGBT propaganda among minors. Now the deputies suggest introducing a new Article 6.37 "Propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations", under which the LGBT propaganda among all social groups shall be punished.  

Under the bill, LGBT propaganda would entail a fine of 40 to 50 thousand rubles ($650-830) for individuals, from 100 thousand to 500 thousand rubles ($1,660-$8,300) for officials; and for legal entities  - a fine from one million to five million rubles, or administrative suspension of activities for up to 90 days.

LGBT propaganda among the minors will be punishable with a fine of 50 thousand to 100 thousand rubles ($830-$1,660) - for individuals; 500 thousand ($8,300) - for officials; five million rubles ($83,000) - for legal entities.

LGBT propaganda through media and the Internet will be punished with a fine of up to 500,000 rubles ($8,300) for individuals, up to 1 million rubles ($16,600) for officials and up to 10 million rubles ($166,000) for legal entities.

For foreigners and stateless persons the maximum fine will be up to 500 thousand rubles ($8300) with an option of administrative expulsion from the Russian Federation.
