From May 22 to 28, Sevastopol is hosting the 31st International Film Forum "Zolotoy Vityaz" ("Golden Knight"). This year its program includes 188 pictures from 21 countries.

The Zolotoy Vityaz International Film Forum has been held in the hero-city of Sevastopol since 2015.

For 7-10 days residents and guests of Sevastopol become spectators of the extensive program of the Film Forum, in which pictures are judged in six categories (feature films, documentaries, short films, children's films, animation, student and debut films). The program also includes soirees, gala-concerts, and master-classes by popular cinema and theater actors. The international conference "State Cultural Policy - the Future of Russia," is also part of the annual event. After the conference, a letter is directed to the President of the Russian Federation with proposals for reforming the Russian cinematography.

The Zolotoy Vityaz International Film Forum is part of a larger annual event called the Zolotoy Vityaz International Slavic Forum of Arts (ISFA). This project promotes some of the best works from Russia and the countries of the Slavic world, in cinema, theater, literature, music, fine arts. It has been held since 2010 with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, in Moscow, in the regions of Russia and abroad.  The demonstration of the best works of cinema, theater, literature, music and fine arts, is done in the following formats:

- International Film Forum "Golden Knight"; 

- The International Theatrical Forum "Golden Knight"; 

- International Slavic literature forum "Golden Knight";

- International Slavonic forum of fine arts;

International Slavic fine arts forum "Golden Knight"; 

- International Slavic musical forum "Golden Knight".

The forum’s audience is estimated at hundreds of thousands of guests in the regions of Russia and millions of TV viewers. 

Each year the ISFA "Zolotoy Vityaz" program includes more than 500 events: cinema and theatrical shows, concerts, exhibitions, gala-concerts and meetings, international conferences on art, promoting traditional spiritual and moral values.

The aim of the Zolotoy Vityaz forums is to uphold traditional spiritual and moral values, consolidate positive creative forces of masters of culture from Russia, countries of the Slavic world. Its slogan is  "For moral ideals, for the elevation of the human soul".

Over the 30 years of the Zolotoy Vityaz existence more than 100 full-scale forums in all kinds of art, attended by over 8000 artists from 60 countries were held in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, the Republic of Serbia, Bulgaria, Transdniestria, and the Republic of Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina). More than 9,500 films were shown, more than 600 performances were staged, and more than 200 TV programs. More than 200 "Zolotoy Vityaz" cinema clubs have been founded in Russia and abroad, as an alternative to the commercial cinema mass culture.
