Modern Christianity is going through difficult and difficult times: there are more and more conflicts, national and religious differences in society, His Beatitude Metropolitan Savva of Warsaw and All Poland noted in his Lenten message, specifically mentioning the tragic events in the Holy Land and the persecution experienced by the Orthodox in Ukraine.
"In neighboring Poland, Ukraine, the ongoing armed conflict has shifted to religious grounds," His Beatitude Metropolitan Savva stated. — There has been a division of the Orthodox Church, persecution continues, shrines are forcibly taken away. The country is in a mess. The world created by God has lost its original harmony: and the whole world lies in evil (1 John 5:19)."
The Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church called on the faithful to take on the work of fasting, intense prayer and spiritual purification together. "May these actions become a sacrifice pleasing to God, which will be accepted for the sake of ending all unrest and conflicts in the world," His Beatitude Metropolitan Savva stressed.
