Representatives of the schismatic Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) have seized a church of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in western Ukraine. This is reported by TASS, referring to the Union of Orthodox Journalists.
"On October 4, 2025, a group of OCU raiders seized the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos of the UOC in the village of Minkovtsy, Rivne region," the message says.
As noted in the Union, representatives of the OCU cut off the locks on the church doors with the connivance of the police, who did not allow parishioners of the canonical church into the temple.
Earlier it became known that in Ukraine, most of the parishes of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC) were deprived of the right to reserve priests.
