A delegation from the Antiochian Patriarchate visited the capital of Jordan, Amman, where they were received with a "message of brotherly love" at the Monastery of the Jerusalem Patriarchate. The meeting took place as a sign of the restoration of Eucharistic communion between the two Churches, as reported by the Jerusalem Patriarchate website.
The Antiochian delegation was represented by Metropolitan of Latakia Athanasius (Fahd) and Metropolitan of Aleppo Ephrem (Maalouli). The guests were welcomed at the Archbishop's Residence by Archbishop Christophoros (Atallah) of Kyriakoupolis, who expressed "words of brotherly love for the decision of the Antiochian Synod and the historical moment that generations will remember forever."
Bishop Christophoros emphasized the importance of restoring church communion and its positive impact on the Orthodox and Christian world, particularly in the Middle East. He also thanked the Antiochian Church for its humanitarian efforts.
The Antiochian Patriarchate's press service reported that the delegation presented a donation to the Jerusalem Patriarchate to support those affected in Gaza. This donation was described as "an effective expression of sincere brotherly love and solidarity, confirming the national and humanitarian position of the Antiochian Church."
