Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has sent Easter greetings to the heads of non-Orthodox Christian Churches celebrating the Resurrection of Christ on April 5, according to a statement published on the official website of the Moscow Patriarchate.

In his message, Kirill described the Resurrection as a profound symbol of hope and victory. “The rising of the Savior of the world from the tomb is the triumph of life over death, light over darkness,” he said. He emphasized that Easter testifies to the victory of grace over sin and opens the path for humanity to “incorruptible and blessed eternity.”

Among the recipients of the message were prominent Christian leaders, including Pope Leo XIV, Catholicos Karekin II of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Catholicos-Patriarch Mar Awa III of the Assyrian Church of the East, and Catholicos Aram I of the Armenian Catholicosate of Cilicia, among others.

Patriarch Kirill wished them good health, inner peace, and divine assistance in their ministries, highlighting the shared spiritual significance of Easter for Christians worldwide.

Similar gestures of mutual greetings were also reported in the Middle East. Patriarch John X of Antioch held a telephone conversation with leaders of Eastern Catholic Churches, including Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros al-Rahi and Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch Youssef Absi.

During the exchange, John X expressed hope that the celebration of Christ’s Resurrection would bring blessings to Syria and Lebanon, as well as peace to the broader region and the world.

Observers note that such exchanges underscore the enduring tradition of inter-Christian dialogue and solidarity, even amid ongoing political tensions in the Middle East.
