Residents of the village of Spas-Nereditsy in the Novgorod region decided to restore order around the Church of the Savior on Nereditsa.
A garbage dump has been formed next to a unique monument of ancient Russian architecture and fresco painting. Over the years, she has managed to stay in the shade of trees and shrubs. During the Great Patriotic War, the temple was in the line of fire and was destroyed. In the 1960s, the Church of the Savior on Nereditsa was restored according to the project of Gregory Shtender.
The Church of the Savior on Nereditsa is an inactive Orthodox church located in the village of Spas—Nereditsy, 1.5 km south of Veliky Novgorod, on the right bank of the former Maly Volkhovets riverbed, on a small hill next to the Rurik hillfort. 
It was built in 1198 under Prince Yaroslav Vladimirovich of Novgorod. It was consecrated in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord. In 1199, the walls of the church were decorated with frescoes.  
The frescoes of Nereditsa are the most valuable monument of Novgorod monumental painting of the XII century. The murals occupied the entire surface of the walls and represented one of the unique and most significant painting ensembles in Russia. 
The temple has the status of an object of cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation of federal significance, and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
