On the Week of the Crucifixion of Great Lent, on March 23, 2025, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate's Department for External Church Relations, Metropolitan Sergius of Singapore and Southeast Asia, Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia, and Archbishop Theophan of Korea celebrated the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Seoul.
Hieromonk Pavel (Choi), Secretary of the DECR Chairman Priest Nikolai Vasin, Hieromonk Juvenaly (Marushchak) and Hierodeacon Nektary (Lim) served the archpastors. The divine service was conducted in Church Slavonic and Korean.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Korea, G.V. Zinoviev, attended the church.
After the Liturgy, Archbishop Theophan warmly welcomed Metropolitan Anthony and Metropolitan Sergius and thanked them for the joy of praying together.
The DECR Chairman conveyed to the faithful the Primatial blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and delivered a sermon.
In prayerful memory of the divine service, Metropolitan Anthony presented Metropolitan Sergius and Archbishop Theophan with panagia, and presented the altar cross as a gift to the Resurrection Church.
Then the bishops talked with the parishioners over tea.
