On August 4, 2024, the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra was visited by the hierarch of the Antiochian Orthodox Church, Bishop Moses of Larissa, who is making a pilgrimage to Russia with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
During the Divine Liturgy at the Intercession Church of the Moscow Theological Academy, Bishop Moses concelebrated with Metropolitan Eugene of Tallinn and All Estonia. After the divine service, a meal was held, during which fraternal communication between the hierarch of the Patriarchate of Antioch and the Primate of the Estonian Orthodox Church continued.
Then Bishop Moses was given a tour of the Church Archaeological Study of the Moscow Theological Academy and the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. In the Trinity Cathedral of the monastery, the hierarch worshiped the venerable relics of its founder, St. Sergius of Radonezh, and the icon of the Holy Trinity painted by St. Andrei Rublev.
