With the blessing of Metropolitan Vasily of Yekaterinodar and Kuban, the rector of the church of the Holy Great Martyr Dimitry of Solun in Krasnodar, the confessor of the Yekaterinodar Cossack department of the Kuban Cossack Army, Priest Nikolai Simora, led a delegation of Cossacks to participate in the liquidation of the emergency situation on the coast of Anapa.
The group of volunteers included representatives of the Cossacks from Tikhoretsk, Dinsky, Goryacheklyuchevsky and other districts of the Krasnodar Territory, the Union of Cossack Youth of Kuban.
Before the work began, a prayer service was held, after which the priest preached to the worshippers and blessed them for their labors. Father Nikolai warmly welcomed volunteers from various Russian cities — Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Khabarovsk and others. For many, it was their first meeting with the Cossacks. The special significance of the event was given by the fact that the Cossacks were with their confessor and, following the tradition, began their work with prayer and blessing.
Despite the cold weather, Cossacks and volunteers actively joined in the work, clearing more than 4 km of the beach from oil chips.
During the day, the priest not only worked along with the others, but also actively communicated with the workers and answered their questions. A special moment was the meal together, where prayer and work brought people together, creating an atmosphere of unity. 
At the end of the working day, Father Nicholas thanked everyone for their efforts, wished God's mercy and blessings in their labors for the joy of people and for the glory of the Orthodox Church.
