On February 3, 2025, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Church-Society Relations and the Media, Head of the Department of Media Communications at the Faculty of International Journalism, Professor V.R. Legoyda of MGIMO delivered a lecture on "Science, Art and Religion as ways of Cognition" as part of the third module of the Program for the Development of the Human Resource Management Reserve in the field of science, technology and higher education (operational level).
The module was held at the St. Petersburg Mining University of Empress Catherine II, its theme is "Physics and Lyrics: the humanitarian dimension of scientific and technological development."
85 representatives of universities, scientific institutes and leading technology companies of the country participated in the program.
During the lecture, Legoyda shared his thoughts on the main problems of modern education, spoke about science, art and religion as three independent ways of understanding the world, and also answered questions from the audience.
The program for the development of the human resource management reserve in the field of science, technology and higher education is being implemented in a modular format at the Higher School of Public Administration of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and Sirius University of Science and Technology in partnership with leading Russian educational centers. There are eight educational modules in the program, each of which is dedicated to a specific key topic.
