A new soup kitchen named after Saint John of Kronstadt has been opened in Kazan. This initiative, housed at the Church of Saint John of Kronstadt and supported by the Kazan Seminary, aims to provide meals for those in need.

"Parishioners, local residents, and anyone in need are welcome to join the meal. Each participant can take a meal in a container to share with someone in need. Along with the meal, elderly and immobile individuals receive informational and educational materials as well as spiritual literature," states the website of the Diocese of Tatarstan.

The soup kitchen is part of the Raifa Monastery's project "Not by Bread Alone," which establishes food distribution points at major parishes within the Tatarstan Diocese. In addition to Kazan, similar facilities are already operational in Yelabuga and Volzhsk.
