On the memorial day of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, Archpriest George Kretsu, dean of the Miass district, served a prayer service to the Holy Apostles on Cathedral Square (now Labor Square) Miassa, where the temple in the name of the holy disciples of Christ once stood. The service was another milestone in the restoration of historical memory.
Father George told the townspeople that temples arise by the will of God and the very presence of the temple on earth is a sign of God's grace, which is important not to lose, but to multiply. The priest also stressed that temples are also being destroyed not without the permission of the Lord. An example of this is the only Jerusalem temple in the whole world.
"When lawlessness increases and faith cools, temples are destroyed," the priest summed up.
After the prayer service, which was attended by numerous parishioners of the Orthodox churches of Miass, a requiem mass was served for the founding fathers, creators and enlighteners of the city who suffered during the persecution of the Church of Christ. Let us add that in the destroyed Miass church in honor of the holy Apostles Peter and Paul, the holy Martyr Vasily Nosov, one of the seven Saints of God included in the Cathedral of Saints of the Chelyabinsk Metropolis, also served.
The dean of Miassa and the parishioners of the city held a conciliar prayer at the site of the destroyed temple
